COVID In the light of recent COVID, we have maintained some changes to what is provided for your stay here, at The Dock of the Bay. We still follow any Government Health and Safety advice prevailing at any time for holiday accommodation , which includes the following:

We hope these will all help to make your visit as safe and Covid-19 free as we possibly can.

We suggest you read the Park Rules, available in The Book of Housekeeping, please, and particularly note the following: ** The speed limit on the entire holiday park is a maximum 5mph for your safety and that of others. ** Guests are respectfully asked to keep noise levels to a minimum between 11.00pm and 8.00 am please, in consideration of others.

  1. The lodge will be fully deep-cleaned and sanitised before each stay
  2. We have reinstated some complimentary items, such as magazines, games and other things previously removed.
  3. There may still be small, temporary changes to provision at the Leisure Park eg booking facilities, family swimming, gym etc Please raise any such enquiries or issues with TSG Staff at Reception: Tel: 01945 871007
What time can I have access to The Dock of the Bay holiday lodge?

Check-in is from 4.00pm (16.00). There is a Key Safe box, the current code which will have been given to you before your arrival. Should you arrive much earlier, food and drink refreshments are generally available, as well as toilet facilities, in the Leisure Centre and / or Spikes Bar.

What do I need to bring?

We firmly believe that you should not have to bring everything with you, when you have chosen to stay in our holiday lodge. Therefore, you will find a good selection of kitchen products (dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid, cleaning materials, kitchen roll, foil, cling film etc), subject to availability.

In the two bathrooms, there is quality hand wash, shower gel, toilet tissue and tissues for your personal use.

We endeavour to provide basic items like tea, coffee, sugar and condiments in the cupboards.

NB You are welcome to use these and any other items you may find, but... Please be aware of any ALLERGENS that may concern you!!

** All you need to bring are items you personally require for your stay and comfort, like toiletries and special dietary food items.

** We politely ask you to bring personal ‘beach’ towels for use in the spa/swimming pool leisure facility or the beach!

What can I expect in my holiday lodge?

The lodge is fully equipped for a self-catering holiday, with modern, interior design for comfort.

The kitchen has a built in oven and microwave, a large, integrated fridge freezer, a washing machine and a dishwasher, plus the usual small appliances, including a filter coffee maker.

There is a large collection of tableware, together with plenty of glassware, cutlery and kitchen utensils.

Both gas (LPG) and electricity are included in the letting fee.

All bedding, quality bed linen, tea towels and bathroom towels are provided for your use.

A high-chair and travel cot can be provided on request (small bed linen / pillows not provided, for health and safety reasons)

There are two Samsung Smart TVs; one 4K in the lounge area and one in the Master bedroom, which will allow you to access any Amazon Prime or Netflix account you may subscribe to. There is also a TV/DVD player in bedroom 2.

FREE WiFi is available.

There is a selection of board games, playing cards and small playthings for those ‘in-between’ times!

All in all, we consider it a ‘home from home’!

Is there a shop on site or nearby?

Regrettably, there is No shop on site. The nearest convenience store is at Tydd St Mary, about 2 miles away.

There are several large supermarkets and stores around Wisbech, about 7 miles away. Kings Lynn - the ‘gateway to Norfolk’ - is the nearest big town for major names eg M&S, Primark etc

Long Sutton has a well-stocked Co operative store, with a delightful ‘Coffee Shop’ and a Post Office counter. There is a Spar convenience store on the road into Long Sutton. A Domino’s pizza takeaway/delivery has now opened there too. The A17 service area also has basic items, where you will find McDonalds, Starbucks and Benny’s Diner - all about 4 miles away.

However, Ocado, Tesco, Morrison, Sainsbury’s and Asda all currently offer online delivery to the site, under their normal terms and conditions. Please remember to quote our full address: The Dock of the Bay 16 Augusta Drive Tydd St Giles Golf and Leisure Centre Kirkgate TSG PE13 5NZ.

Do you accept group bookings?

We do not accept bookings for single sex groups, or groups under 21 years of age, for Hen/Stag Parties or Similar Events. This forms part of the TSG Park Rules.

Can I bring my pet?

The holiday lodge has adopted a strictly “NO PETS ” policy.

Is there a Pub nearby?

The Park site has a pub, Spikes Bar, at the Leisure Complex, which includes a spacious beer garden. The village itself has a Pub too, The Crown and Mitre, which is a 0.4ml walk along a back path from the lodge, to the right, then left onto Eaudyke Bank/ Cats Lane. The Five Bells at Tydd St Mary, approx 2mls away, is highly recommended for a warm welcome and a good, tasty food menu. The Woodman’s Cottage at Gorefield offers good food and service too - 4.3 miles drive.

Is there a defibrillator on the holiday park?

Yes, on the right hand side of the entrance to the main Reception.

Is Smoking/Vaping/ E-Cigarette permitted?

The holiday lodge, including the wooden decked area, has a strictly No smoking/No vaping/No E- Cigarette policy - see Booking Conditions. If you choose to smoke outside, away from the property, in the holiday park, we respectfully ask you to be mindful of wildlife when discarding cigarette ends and packets - thank you!

Where are the nearest electric car charging points?

PLEASE NOTE - It is NOT permitted for any electric vehicle to be charged from any electrical point at The Dock of the Bay As there are not currently any within this post code PE13 5NZ, we suggest you use your regular App to find out. However, these are increasing in the vicinity, we have the following suggestions for you to check out:

What time do I have to check-out?

Check-out is by 10.00am (10.00) please. This is so our housekeeping services personnel can fully clean the lodge and change all bed linen etc, in readiness for the next guests.
